Product Overview
This is the section most walkways are built from. A 30 mm deep bearing bar at 2.5 mm thick carries pedestrian and light trolley traffic over a normal span without being heavier or more expensive than the job needs, and the 8x2 flat cross bar pressure welded across it squares the panel up and keeps the mesh from racking. Panels are hot-dip galvanized after they are cut and banded, so the edges are protected as well as the faces. If you are decking a platform, covering a service trench in a yard, or replacing panels on an existing structure, this is the default to price first and move away from only if the load says so.

Use Guide
- Set panels so bearing bars run across the shortest span, not along it
- Support all four edges; a panel bearing on two edges deflects more than the section suggests
- Fix panels down where trolleys or vehicles cross, or they will walk out of the frame
- Do not flame-cut galvanized panels on site; the coating is destroyed at the cut
- Keep a spare panel from the same batch for future replacement

- Bar pitch checked across the panel, not only at the ends
- Weld joints inspected along the cross bar runs
- Coating finish inspected after galvanizing
