Matching Wheels and Casters to Your Equipment
Four measurements settle almost every wheel question. Take them before you ask.
Most wheel enquiries stall on missing dimensions. Diameter alone is never enough, because two wheels of the same diameter can have different sections, rims and bores.
This is the one place where Renwei's catalogue does something unusual: it sells the carts and the wheels that go under them, so a fleet can be standardised on one size deliberately.
How It Runs Step by Step
Measure the wheel
Overall diameter, section width, and for pneumatic wheels the rim diameter. Read the tyre sidewall if it is legible.
Measure the mounting
Bore diameter through the hub and hub length, plus the axle length across the fork for a caster.
Decide the wheel material
Pneumatic for soft ground and shock, PU foam for flat-free service, EVA for light consumer loads, PU or TPR for quiet non-marking floors, nylon or cast iron for heavy loads on hard floors.
Check the load per wheel
Divide the total loaded weight by three rather than four, and add a margin for shock loading.
Check the fitted height
For casters, overall height changes the working height of the equipment. Match it when replacing.
Send the figures with a photograph
Four dimensions and one clear photograph resolve most matching questions in a single exchange.
Capability Behind This Process
- Wheel sizes published in standard diameter, section and rim notation
- Caster capacity published against each wheel diameter rather than as one figure
- Pneumatic, PU foam, EVA, rubber, TPR, nylon and cast iron cored options across the ranges
- Wheel-only supply so a good bracket need not be scrapped
What Is Not Published
Bore diameter, hub length and axle dimensions are not published in the source catalogue for most wheel models. Send your measurements and ask for confirmation before ordering a batch.

Wheel and Caster Matching Questions
What measurements do you need from me?
Overall wheel diameter, section width, rim diameter for pneumatic wheels, bore diameter through the hub and hub length. For casters, add the axle length across the fork and the overall fitted height.
How do I read a size like 13*3.50-8?
Thirteen inches overall diameter, 3.50 inch section width, on an 8 inch rim. All three numbers have to match for a true replacement.
Can one wheel size be standardised across a mixed fleet?
Often yes, if the axle diameters and hub widths are compatible. It is usually the single most effective thing a fleet operator can do to cut spares holding.
