Cotton Pad Machine Round Versus Square Which One Fits Your Product

Roll cutting with tube output or cross cutting with zigzag stacking: how the two cotton pad platforms differ in output, size flexibility and pack presentation.

Two Different Cutting Principles

Round pads are produced by roll cutting: a mould cuts discs from the web and pushes them into a stainless steel output tube. Square and rectangular pads are cross cut by vertical and horizontal cutters and stacked in a counted zigzag array. The cutting principle, not the brand, is what decides your size flexibility.

Round Pads On The AQ-RD

The AQ-RD runs 300 to 400 pieces per minute with a 250 mm effective breadth matched to a 58 mm pad and jumbo rolls up to 1000 mm. Pad size is set by the roll cutting mould, so additional diameters mean additional moulds rather than a new machine.

Square Pads On The AQ-RC

The AQ-RC cuts from 40 x 40 mm to 100 x 100 mm with size adjustable on the machine, at 1200 mm effective breadth with jumbo rolls up to 800 mm. If your customers order several rectangular formats, this flexibility is worth more than raw speed.

Square Cotton Pads Making Machine With Custom Embossing (AQ-RC)

Medical Volume Changes The Answer

For gauze pads at medical volume, neither cosmetic machine is the right tool. The AQ-RD gauze build runs 1500 to 2000 pieces per minute on a 35 mm integral wall panel rack that holds knife alignment under continuous load.

What Both Machines Share

All parts in contact with fabric are stainless steel, cutters are imported special material that cut without burrs, and counting is automatic. Those three things are what a cosmetic buyer actually inspects when they audit a pad supplier.

FAQ

Questions On This Topic

Can one machine make both round and square pads?

No. The cutting principle is different. Converters selling both usually run one machine of each type.

How is the embossing pattern made?

Embossing can be customised to your flower pattern and is engraved into the roller. International quality steel keeps the indentation stable during long runs.

What happens to the trim waste?

A waste collecting device removes trim continuously so it does not mix back into the finished pads.
