Two Different Cutting Principles

Round pads are produced by roll cutting: a mould cuts discs from the web and pushes them into a stainless steel output tube. Square and rectangular pads are cross cut by vertical and horizontal cutters and stacked in a counted zigzag array. The cutting principle, not the brand, is what decides your size flexibility.

The AQ-RD runs 300 to 400 pieces per minute with a 250 mm effective breadth matched to a 58 mm pad and jumbo rolls up to 1000 mm. Pad size is set by the roll cutting mould, so additional diameters mean additional moulds rather than a new machine.

The AQ-RC cuts from 40 x 40 mm to 100 x 100 mm with size adjustable on the machine, at 1200 mm effective breadth with jumbo rolls up to 800 mm. If your customers order several rectangular formats, this flexibility is worth more than raw speed.

Medical Volume Changes The Answer
