Product Overview
The water drop is an exclusive design formed by water pressuring. Our technicians calculate the sheet development for the specific curve, which means the shape is not limited to a catalogue profile. Curvature and height can be made to any size you need.
The uniform surface takes a high reflective mirror finish, which is what makes the form read as a real drop rather than a metal object shaped like one. It is used mostly for garden decoration and landscape sculpture.

Problems It Solves
- A drop form has a compound curve that press tooling cannot reach. Water pressuring forms it without a dedicated mould.
- Uneven surface breaks the illusion. The uniform wall takes an even mirror polish across the whole curve.
- 316L is needed for the harshest sites. It is available alongside 304 and 316.

Materials
We form spheres and hemispheres in AISI 304, AISI 316 and AISI 316L stainless steel, Q235 carbon steel, H62 brass alloy and A6061 aluminium alloy. The alloy decides corrosion resistance, weight and how the surface takes a polish.
For this product the standard specification is AISI 304 / AISI 316 / AISI 316L stainless steel. Tell us the site conditions and we will confirm whether a different grade is worth the cost.
Manufacturing Process
Forming happens by stamping press, water pressuring, spinning or hand assembling. Two halves are joined at the equator, the weld is ground, and the surface is finished last, after any cutting or drilling has been done.
Quality Control
Incoming material
Alloy and sheet thickness are checked against the order before any blank is cut.
Forming check
Diameter and wall are measured after pressing, spinning or water pressuring.
Weld and grind
The equator weld is inspected, then welds and burrs are ground off before finishing.
Surface inspection
Every piece is inspected for scratches, dents and polish consistency under light.
Packing
Protective packing is built around the diameter and weight, and photographs are sent before dispatch.
