The actuators on this job were large enough that flow, not accuracy, was the limiting factor. A compact transducer would have stroked them too slowly for the control strategy.
How It Was Built
The Type 1000 was selected on its flow figure rather than its accuracy figure, since the integral booster is what lets it feed an actuator directly without a separate relay in the line.

Supply air was regulated to sit above the maximum output as the datasheet requires, and each unit was calibrated with the supply held steady. The photographs show the batch on the bench with the air and signal connections made.

Actuators stroking at the speed the control strategy assumed, from a transducer that did not need a booster relay behind it.
