What The Customer Needed
The valves in question sit on a 20-100 kPa spring, which is exactly what the C output code covers, but earlier replacements had been fitted with the wrong output range and the valves were not reaching full travel.
How It Was Built
Ordering by code rather than by description fixed the problem: A for the 4-20 mA input, C for the 3-15 psig output, D for the connector. The spring and the output range were matched on paper before anything was built.
What The Photographs Show
The batch was calibrated to 3-15 psig and then checked for full travel against a test actuator, since an output range that does not suit the spring shows up as incomplete stroke rather than as a calibration error.
How It Finished
Valves reaching full open and full close, with the selection fault removed at the order stage.
