W-Beam and Thrie-Beam Guardrail
W-beam and thrie-beam guardrails are produced to AASHTO M180, the standard written into road authority tenders across the Americas. The factory rolls the profile from Tang Steel coil and hot-dip galvanizes it in-house to 550 g/m2. Standard W-beam is 4128 x 310 x 83 mm at 2.67 mm thickness. Thrie-beam has three corrugations and is used where higher impact resistance is required. Both are supplied with posts, terminals, and fittings from the same production run.

Open Box Beam
Open box beam guardrail is a continuous steel barrier with a rectangular cross-section, designed for high-impact resistance and long-term durability in roadside and median applications. It is commonly specified by road authorities in EU countries, where it is commonly specified for highway and urban infrastructure projects. The beam is hot-dip galvanized to 550 g/m2 and supplied in standard 4800 mm sections, with wall thicknesses rolled to customer specification. Production is carried out at Shandong Hongda Industry Co., Ltd using steel from Tang Steel, with full process control in-house.
Curved Radius Guardrail
Curved radius guardrail is a continuous, pre-formed barrier section designed for use on road curves where straight W-beam or box beam cannot be installed without cutting or welding. Hongda produces curved radius guardrail in the same material and finish as its standard W-beam and thrie-beam systems, using Q235B or Q345 steel from Tang Steel, roll formed to match the specified radius and hot-dip galvanized to 550 g/m2. The product is supplied as a single continuous section with end fittings, ready for installation without field modification.
Guardrail Posts
Guardrail posts are manufactured to match the structural and installation requirements of W-beam, thrie-beam, open box beam, and flex beam systems. Posts are produced in C, Z, H, sigma, and bolt-down configurations to support barrier runs on highways, bridges, and roadside installations. All posts are hot-dip galvanized to 550 g/m2 using the same on-site galvanizing process applied to the beams, ensuring consistent corrosion protection across the full system. Production is based on steel from Tang Steel, with material grade and thickness verified before forming.
Beams and Terminals
Hongda produces a full range of steel road safety barrier components, including W-beam and thrie-beam guardrails, open box beam, flex beam, curved radius guardrail, guardrail posts (C, Z, H, sigma, bolt-down), terminal end sections, spring steel buffers, and fittings (bolts, nuts, caps, offset blocks). All components are manufactured in-house to meet international standards and shipped in full container loads to road authority contractors, highway construction companies, civil infrastructure importers, and distributors. The factory has been producing metal barriers since 2007, with a dedicated production line and on-site galvanizing workshop.
Spring Steel Buffers
Spring steel buffers are impact-absorbing terminal end treatments for W-beam and flex beam guardrail systems. They are designed to reduce the severity of a vehicle collision at the end of a barrier run by deforming in a controlled manner. Hongda manufactures these buffers in-house using spring steel from Tang Steel, with production aligned to the same standards as the main barrier system. They are supplied as a complete unit with mounting hardware and are compatible with standard beam profiles and post types.
