Compress the hammer adapter onto the post and hold it vertical. Install the drill rod with the hammer, aim the hammer exactly at the hammer adapter, and press firmly.
Changing the Hydraulic Hammer
If you are only changing the hammer adapter, tap it off with the hammer. If both the hammer adapter and the drill rod are being changed, the drill rod has to be removed as well.
