Project Challenge
As with any test facility, the barrier has to follow a curved and banked alignment and hold a consistent line where the geometry changes continuously. Transitions between straight and curved runs need terminals detailed for the direction of travel.

Our Solution
Guardrail supplied for the proving ground, with curved sections bent to the required radius and terminal ends produced to suit the run. Terminals are designed to reduce damage to the vehicle and protect occupants, in upstream or downstream anchor type according to the direction of travel.
Manufacturing Process
Beam roll formed and punched in house, curved sections bent on the automatic bending machine, terminals laser cut and punched, and the whole run hot-dip galvanized on site.
Result
Barrier installed on the proving ground, shown in the project photographs.
