What This Service Covers
Custom tooling design and making, and custom plastic injection moulding, are two of the services CB Magnetics has offered since 2009. It is the reason a geometry outside the published catalogue gets quoted rather than refused. Mould design happens at the CAD station, the steel is cut on the wire cut EDM and CNC machines in our own tool room, and moulding runs in the same plant.

Drawing review
Your part is compared against tools we already own. Often a small change avoids a new tool entirely.
Design for moulding
Section split gate position pin retention and draft are settled before steel is cut.
Tool making
Wire cut EDM and CNC machining in our own tool room.
First article
Samples out of the new tool, measured against your drawing in the measuring room.
Production moulding
Running in the specified thermoset or thermoplastic.
Assembly and packing
Terminal insertion, assembly and packing to your requirement.
