Facility Tooling And Quality

From Drawing To Packed Carton

Six stages. The same route runs whether the part is a catalogue geometry or a new tool.

Drawing review

Your drawing or part number is checked against tooling we already own before anything is quoted.

Tool design

The mould is designed at the CAD station, with the section split pin positions and gate decided up front.

Tool making

Steel is cut on the wire cut EDM and CNC machines in our own tool room.

04

Injection moulding

Bodies are moulded in the specified thermoset or thermoplastic.

05

Assembly and winding

Terminals are inserted, and where the order is for a finished component the core is fitted and the part is wound.

06

Test and packing

Dimensional check in the measuring room, electrical check on the test bench, then packing.

Can I visit the factory

Yes. Send a date on WhatsApp or by email and a visit to the Zengcheng plant can be arranged.

What quality certifications do you hold

ISO 9001:2015 for quality, ISO 14001:2015 for environment and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety. All three certificates are shown above and can be downloaded as PDF.

How are moulded parts checked

Against the drawing in the measuring room using a profile projector microscope and gauges, rather than against a golden sample.

How are wound components tested

On the electrical test bench. Inductance and resistance are measured with an LCR meter and Kelvin clips, and winding and insulation checks are run on a second test set.

Do you make your own tooling

Yes. Mould design and tool making are in-house, on the wire cut EDM and CNC machines shown above.

Are your products RoHS compliant

Yes. All products from CB Magnetics are RoHS compliant.
