A long bodied extension spring, galvanised for industrial positions that see moisture. The long coil gives a soft rate over a long stroke, which suits tensioning duties where the spring has to take up movement rather than hold a precise force.
A long body spreads the same extension across more coils, so the force rises gently instead of spiking at the end of the stroke.

The end hooks come out of the coiling programme with a controlled transition radius rather than being bent afterwards.
Support long springs during shipping and installation so they do not take a bend. A kinked body never fully recovers and will extend unevenly across its length.
