Dandelion Light

Simulation Dandelion Light

A naturalistic seedhead build with finer, more numerous strands than the acrylic version, designed to read as an actual dandelion rather than as a light fitting. It is the version landscape architects specify when the sculpture has to sit inside real planting without announcing itself.

  • Custom shapes in 20-30 days
  • Low MOQ on project work
  • OEM and ODM private label
  • Samples before bulk order

Key benefits

Why Buyers Choose This Product

Fine strand count reads as a real seedhead, not as a lamp

Sits inside real planting without visually dominating it

Hand built, so heads in a cluster differ naturally as real ones would

Soft diffuse glow rather than discrete points of light

Who It Is For

  • Landscape architects on naturalistic schemes
  • Botanical garden curators
  • Parks teams with meadow planting

Problems It Solves

  • Light sculptures that look like equipment dropped into a planting bed
  • Identical heads that betray mass production in a natural setting
  • Hard points of light that read as artificial among real plants

Where It Is Used

  • Naturalistic and wildflower planting schemes
  • Ecological park and meadow positions
  • Botanical garden installations
  • Quiet contemplative garden areas

Comparison

How It Compares With The Alternatives

Compared With Acrylic dandelion light

The simulation head is softer and more naturalistic; acrylic is more defined, more sparkling and more robust.

Compared With LED dandelion ball light

The simulation is loose and organic; the ball version is geometric and deliberately artificial.

Use Guide

  • Set at varying heights within the planting, not in a line at the front of it
  • Allow for the strands moving in wind, which is part of the effect
  • Check strand condition at the end of each season and re-dress any that have flattened

Questions

Simulation Dandelion Light Questions

How does this differ from the acrylic version?

Strand count and softness. This one reads as a real seedhead; acrylic reads as a designed light object.

Will it survive in an exposed position?

It is IP65 with ageing-tested wiring, but fine strands are more vulnerable to being grabbed. Set it inside planting rather than beside a path.

Can heads be matched to an existing cluster?

Yes, against a physical sample. Send photographs, head diameter and pole height.
