Client Background
A commercial shopping street in an export market, dressed for a festival period. The client is not named — project parties are not disclosed on our site.
The Challenge
Dressing a trading street means working to brackets and catenaries that already exist, over a live carriageway, inside a short installation window before a published switch-on date.
Customer Pain Points
- Existing street furniture set the weight and fixing envelope
- Installation had to happen over live traffic in a fixed window
- The look had to stay consistent block after block down the street
- Units had to survive a full outdoor season and come down cleanly
Our Solution
2D motif panels on flat welded frames, with rope light and garland string forming the arch outlines. Frames were stoving varnished in gold and white with rust prevention, and fixing points were set to the bracket type already on the street.
Supply Chain Coordination
The whole street was produced as a single batch so the bulb spacing and bulb type matched from end to end. Mixed batches are the usual reason a dressed street looks patchy under photography.
Quality Control
Cold and high temperature resistance testing with current applied, wire ageing test before wrapping, and a full light-up check on every unit before it was packed.

PVC tinsel and mesh surface applied by hand
LED string wired in parallel at a fixed bulb spacing across the whole run
Ageing test with current applied, then lit and unlit photography
The Result
The photograph shows the completed installation lit at night, with motif panels and illuminated arches running the length of the street over moving traffic.
Customer Benefit
One supplier covered frame fabrication, surface wrap and LED wiring, so brightness and finish were consistent across the street and the crates could be labelled for the install sequence.
