OEM and ODM Case Development
From a reference photo to a tooled chassis in your own carton
Most buyers do not want a new chassis from a blank sheet. They want an existing shell with their own front panel, their own I/O layout and their own box. Because die and mould work runs inside the group, that change is a tooling item rather than a separate project with a separate supplier.
Process
Eight Stages From Enquiry to Container
Each stage exists because something specific goes wrong without it.

Requirement
We start from the closest model already in the catalogue and scope only the parts that actually have to change.
- Step 02
Design
Changes are separated into bezel tooling, sheet metal tooling and printing so you can see what each one costs.
- Step 03
Prototyping
A tooled sample is produced and shipped for physical approval before bulk steel is cut.
- Step 04
Material selection
The grade used in the sample is recorded on the sample sheet and held for production.
- Step 05
Production
Production runs against the approved sample with colour checked at the line.
- Step 06
Quality control
QC officers inspect at the line, and the About page certificate evidence covers the certified product lines.
- Step 07
Packing
Colour box, insert and manual are printed and packed with the chassis on the same packing list.
- Step 08
Logistics
Carton dimensions are fixed at sample stage so container loading can be planned accurately.

The Problem Each Stage Exists to Solve

How does a oem and odm case development project start?
With a written brief rather than a form. Send the model numbers, quantities, destination and any artwork or drawing over WhatsApp or e-mail and we will respond with the first stage of the plan set out on this page.
Who do we deal with during the project?
The same sales engineer from quotation through to shipment, so the specification recorded at sample stage is held by the person managing the production.
What is confirmed in writing?
Steel grade and thickness, panel materials, colour reference, packing method, carton dimensions and gross weight. Those are the items that drift if they are not recorded.
