Chassis Freight Is Charged on Volume
A computer case is mostly enclosed air, and ocean freight on this product is effectively charged on the space the carton occupies. This single fact reorders the whole cost conversation. A supplier offering a slightly lower unit price in a larger carton can easily be the more expensive supplier once the container is loaded. Ask for carton dimensions before you ask for a unit price.
Get the Carton Data First
Every chassis page on this site publishes the carton dimensions and the gross and net weight. Use those figures to calculate how many units fit your container before you place the order, not after. If a supplier cannot give you carton data in writing, you cannot calculate landed cost, and unit price alone will mislead you.
Consider CKD Where It Applies
Some models ship as barebone CKD, flat-packed for assembly after arrival. This trades local labour against freight volume. Where labour at destination is inexpensive and freight is the binding constraint, CKD can change the landed cost materially. It does not suit every model and it does not suit every buyer, so treat it as an option to evaluate rather than a default.

Mix the Container from One Supplier
Splitting a container across three factories means three packing lists, three ETAs, three payment terms and a consolidation cost. A supplier whose catalogue covers chassis, power supplies and cooling parts lets you fill the same container from one order, one invoice and one booking.

Lock the Specification Before the Second Order
The first order is usually fine. The risk appears on the repeat order, when steel gauge, packing or carton size quietly change. Record the steel grade, the packing method and the carton dimensions at sample approval, reference that record on every subsequent purchase order, and verify it on arrival.
Documentation and Compliance
Ask for certificate evidence during the quotation rather than after the award, especially where you are bidding into a tender that will ask for it. CE EMC and CE LVD certificates are held for the case and power supply lines and the certificate images are shown on the About page.
