Product Overview
A 25 mm deep bearing bar at 6 mm thick is an unusual proportion: shallow but thick. It exists because a heel guard panel in a finished interior floor has very little depth available in the channel but still has to be stiff, and because in stainless steel the thickness is also doing corrosion work. The 6x6 cross bar keeps the mesh square in a panel that would otherwise be easy to rack. Every panel is acid passivated after fabrication, which restores the passive chromium oxide layer across the whole surface including the cut ends and the welds.

- Do not cut or grind stainless panels with tools used on carbon steel: it embeds iron and starts rust
- Clean with non-chloride detergents where the finish matters
- Keep stainless fixings with stainless panels; mixed metals corrode at the contact
- Lift panels rather than dragging them across a finished floor
- Re-passivation is possible if a panel is later modified
