Run Bearing Bars Across The Span

The bearing bar is the structural member. Laying a panel with the bearing bars along the span instead of across it can leave a fraction of the capacity that was specified.

Support All Four Edges Where You Can

A panel bearing on two edges deflects more than the section suggests and is far more likely to rock. Wheel loads in particular punish two-edge bearing.

Fix Down Anywhere Wheels Cross

Unfixed panels walk out of their frames under braking and turning. Hold-down clips and bolt fixings are fabricated with the panel for this reason.

Do Not Cut On Site

Site cutting removes the coating, removes the banding and, on press locked panels, removes the lock at the edge. Panels are drawn to size so they do not need trimming.

Keep One Spare Panel From The Batch

Panels galvanized together interchange. A spare from the same batch will drop into any bay years later, which a panel ordered separately often will not.
