VXR-G2 X-Ray Food Inspection Machine
The VXR-G2 catches what a metal detector cannot: glass and ceramic down to 1.0 mm diameter alongside SUS304 balls at 0.3 mm and wires at 0.2 x 2 mm. A 210 W source works through a 0.4 mm detector over a 200 x 150 mm pass-through, at belt speeds from 10 to 60 m/min, in a full 304 stainless steel frame.

Key benefits
- Detects glass and ceramic at 1.0 mm diameter, not only metal
- SUS304 ball detection at 0.3 mm and wire at 0.2 x 2 mm
- 200 mm pass-through width and 150 mm height for a wide product range
- Belt speed adjustable from 10 to 60 m/min
- Full 304 stainless steel construction for hygiene and corrosion resistance
Problems it solves
- Metal detection is blind to glass, ceramic, stone and bone
- Fine stainless wire is the hardest contaminant to catch
- Line speed changes make a fixed-speed inspection point unworkable
- Non-stainless frames corrode under washdown
Who it is for
- Food safety managers whose hazard analysis includes glass and ceramic
- Processors who have reached the limit of metal detection
- QA teams needing stated detection figures for an audit
Application scenarios
- Food production where glass or ceramic breakage is a known risk
- Packed food lines needing a final foreign-object check
- Lines running mixed product formats at varying speeds
- Washdown environments requiring stainless construction
Technical features
- 210 W X-ray source
- 0.4 mm X-ray detector
- Adjustable conveyor speed
- Stainless steel 304 construction throughout

Compared with other models in the range
The FSD conveyor metal detectors are the cheaper answer where only metal matters. The VXR-G2 is what to specify once glass, ceramic or fine stainless wire enters the hazard analysis, because those are the contaminants a metal detector will never see.
Use guide
- Confirm the 200 x 150 mm pass-through clears your largest pack
- Set the belt between 10 and 60 m/min to match the upstream line
- Verify with SUS304, glass and ceramic test pieces at commissioning
- Re-verify at the interval set by your food safety plan
- Wash down as normal, construction is 304 stainless throughout

Guides that cover this equipment
What Metals Can a Metal Detector Detect
Ferrous and non-ferrous metals behave differently in a detection field, and stainless steel is consistently the hardest to find.
Metal Detector or X-Ray for Food Inspection
The choice is decided by your hazard analysis and your packaging, not by budget. Each misses things the other catches.
