XIBS 6550A Security Inspection X-Ray Machine
The 6550A is the standard passenger-checkpoint machine: a 65 x 50 cm tunnel, 100 kg load, 11 mm steel penetration from an 80 kV generator at 0.6 mA. Where it goes further than most is image handling, with high and low penetration views, local and edge enhancement, brightness and darkness adjustment, and organic/inorganic differentiation all on one console.

Key benefits
- Fifteen image display and adjustment modes including edge and local enhancement
- 65 x 50 cm tunnel with 100 kg load
- Over 2.5 million images on a 500 GB industrial host
- Optional bi-directional scanning in forward and reverse
- Compliant with GB15208.1-2018, leakage under 1 microsievert/h at 10 cm
Problems it solves
- A single image mode cannot resolve both dense and light contents
- Bags are opened unnecessarily when the image is ambiguous
- Energy is wasted running the conveyor continuously
- Items fall from the exit and are damaged
Who it is for
- Operators screening hand luggage at passenger checkpoints
- Sites where operators need fine image control to avoid opening bags
- Facilities that must reference a national compliance standard
Application scenarios
- Airports and subway stations
- Government facilities
- Major event venues
- General passenger checkpoints
Technical features
- Colour, greyscale, negative, mixed, high and low penetration modes
- Enhancement, reduction, local enhancement and edge enhancement
- Brightness and darkness adjustment with mouse-wheel zoom
- Intelligent energy-saving roller with self-diagnosis and automatic calibration
- L-shaped detector array with high-definition digital detection boards
- DC 24 V quiet linear motorised rollers, speed adjustable to 0.25 m/s

Quality control
- Compliant with national standard GB15208.1-2018
Customisation options
- Optional bidirectional scanning in forward and reverse
Compared with other models in the range
The 6550C shares the 65 x 50 cm tunnel but runs a 140 kV generator penetrating 34 mm rather than 11 mm, with four-layer lead curtains. Take the 6550A for hand luggage and the 6550C where contents are dense.
Use guide
- Set conveyor speed up to 0.25 m/s for the throughput you need
- Use high and low penetration modes rather than opening an ambiguous bag
- Apply edge and local enhancement on a specific area of interest
- Let startup self-diagnosis and automatic calibration complete first
- Keep items within the 100 kg load limit
