Dee For In-Line Pull
A dee shackle has an entrance the same width as its body. That narrow profile suits standard rigging, chain connections and cranes, especially in confined spaces. It is meant for in-line and two-directional pulls.

Bow For Angled And Multi-Leg Loads
The bow, or omega, shackle has a wider bow that gives a larger surface area for slings and crane hooks. Use it whenever more than one sling leg is attached, because multiple load directions stress the sides of a dee shackle.
