Every Step Where Orders Normally Go Wrong
Each stage below names the failure we see most often, and what we do differently at that point.
Requirement Review
Where it goes wrong: Equipment number, chain grade and surveying society are often confirmed separately and then contradict each other on paper.
What we do: We start from the vessel equipment number and the society the vessel is surveyed by, and confirm grade, diameter and shot length in writing before quoting.
Specification
Where it goes wrong: Accessories ordered later rarely match the grade of the chain already in production.
What we do: Chain, anchor, forerunner, kenter and end shackles are specified together so every fitting in the run carries the same grade.
Production
Where it goes wrong: Chain made on general purpose equipment shows inconsistent weld appearance and strength.
What we do: Welded chain is produced on automatic equipment with quality control through the process, which keeps link appearance and strength consistent.
Inspection And Certification
Where it goes wrong: A missing certificate stops the chain at survey, not at the gate.
What we do: Class society inspection is arranged during production and certificates are issued against the shipment by LR, ABS, BV, DNV, CCS, NK, KR or RINA.
Packing And Shipping
Where it goes wrong: Heavy chain arrives damaged or unidentifiable when packed loose.
What we do: Chain and fittings are packed for export in drums, bags, cartons or wooden boxes, and documentation is prepared by our own documentation team.

Yes. The programme is how we normally run these orders, but individual items can be quoted on their own.
Do you handle export documentation?
Yes. Our documentation team prepares the shipping documents and the certificates that go with the goods.
How is pricing set?
We work directly with the manufacturers, which is what lets us quote factory-direct prices. Quotations are valid against the specification confirmed in writing.
What happens if the specification changes mid-order?
Tell us before production of that item starts. Grade, finish and certificate changes are easiest to apply at that point rather than after the item is made.
