Under 1mm — why not just use a self-drilling screw?
On thin sheet the drill point has not finished cutting before the thread arrives, and the screw pushes the sheet away instead of pulling it in.
How long can these be made?
This line runs to 500mm, which is longer than the self-drilling range.
