Small Automatic Silver Electrolysis Refining Machine 3kg Per 24 Hours
Bench scale silver cell taking 80-90% silver up to 99.9-99.99% on dilute nitric acid
- FunctionRefining silver of 80% to 90% purity to 99.9% or 99.99%
- Capacity3kg/24 hours (other sizes customised to requirement)
- Voltage220V
- Power1KW
- MaterialPP sheet, titanium basket, titanium sheet
What This Machine Does
This bench scale silver cell refines 80% silver bars or old 90% silver jewelry to 99.9% or 99.99% silver.
The charge sits in four round titanium baskets as the anode, a titanium cylinder is the cathode, and 10% dilute nitric acid is the electrolyte.
Gold and copper report to the anode mud and are separated while the silver is being refined.
What You Get
- 99.99% metallic silver is obtained quickly in house.
- Replacing the traditional nitric acid method reduces both the consumption and the emission of nitric acid.
- Gold and copper are separated into the anode mud, so a second value stream is captured.
- Installation, operation and maintenance are all straightforward.
Who Buys It
- Jewelry workshops refining their own scrap and old stock
- Small refiners starting a silver line without a full electrolysis house
- Pawn and bullion dealers upgrading mixed silver to investment purity
- Assay and R&D laboratories needing small refined batches
What It Fixes
- Traditional nitric acid refining consumes a lot of acid and emits a lot of fume.
- Sending scrap out for refining means a wait, a refining charge and a loss allowance.
- Low purity silver cannot be sold at bullion prices.
- A full sized cell is too much machine for a workshop turning over a few kilos a day.
How It Is Built
- Four round titanium baskets holding the 80-90% silver anode charge
- Titanium cylinder cathode where 99.9-99.99% silver deposits
- 10% dilute nitric acid electrolyte
- PLC control panel with anti-corrosion design
- Zero liquid leakage housing from a special welding method, minimising precious metal loss
- Full anti-corrosion construction for long service life

|---|---|
| Sending scrap to an outside refiner | Refining charge, loss allowance and a wait for settlement |
| This 3kg cell | 99.9-99.99% silver in house on 10% dilute nitric acid, 35kg machine on a 30 x 45 x 60 cm footprint |
Running The Machine
Step
Check that every screw on the machine is tight, that the titanium basket bag is undamaged, and that the inlet and outlet valves are closed.
Step
Prepare the electrolyte as a 10% dilute nitric acid solution.
Step
Place the silver nuggets evenly across the four titanium baskets, then pour in the 10% dilute nitric acid so the solution covers the silver.
Step
Switch on the power. Set the adjustable voltage CV in the 5V-8V range; current follows the voltage and needs no separate adjustment.
Step
Start the electrolytic stirring switch so the machine runs normally.
Step
Change the electrolyte according to the silver purity: low grade high impurity silver needs a fresh solution each refining, while clean high grade silver allows the solution to be reused several times.

Questions About The Silver Electrolysis Refining Machine 3kg Per 24h
What input purity does the machine need?
80% to 90% purity silver, whether as bars, nuggets or old jewelry.
What purity comes out?
99.9% or 99.99% metallic silver deposited on the cathode cylinder.
What happens to the gold and copper in my scrap?
They separate into the anode mud during silver refining and can be processed afterwards.
How much electrolyte does the process consume?
Electrolyte is 10% dilute nitric acid. With clean high grade silver the same solution is reused several times; with impure silver it is replaced each refining.
What voltage should I run at?
The adjustable CV range is 5V-8V on this model. The current changes with the voltage and does not need adjusting separately.
Can a larger capacity be supplied?
Yes. 10kg, 50kg and 250kg per 24 hours machines are available, and other sizes are customised to requirement.
