Project Challenge
Gold and silver leave a plating line dissolved in drag-out, rinse water and spent bath. Sold on as waste liquid they settle well below metal value, and sent to treatment they become a sludge and a discharge risk.
Our Solution
A rotating cathode high-frequency pulse recovery machine is installed on the solution path. Graphite carbon plates form the anode and a rotating titanium cylinder the cathode, so metal ions are reduced to solid metal and adsorbed onto the cylinder with no reagent added.
Process Steps

Solution is fed in through the inlet valve and the line is purged through the exhaust valve.

The PLC panel starts the rotating cathode and the pulse rectifier.
Step
The machine runs unattended while the exhaust fan maintains operating temperature.
Step
The deposit is stripped from the cylinder without special tools.
