Processes Quality Systems and What Is Not Yet Documented
The manufacturing methods and quality systems RUIFAN recorded on its original website, set out in full — together with an explicit list of what the archive does not contain.
Manufacturing methods
What the Factory Lists as Its Processes
Copied from the original RUIFAN services page. No process has been added to this list.
Deep and shallow draw stamping
Steel pans drawn from sheet. Shallow profiles in a single operation; deep sections over several, because the wall can only thin so far per stroke.
Die casting
Aluminum injected into a steel die under pressure. Thin walls, tight tolerance, best surface straight from the die.
Sand casting
Expendable moulds for heavier sections, lower volumes and long-tail references where die tooling would never amortise.
Gravity casting
Permanent metal moulds filled under gravity. Denser than die casting in thick sections, better surface than sand.
Chrome plating
Listed on the original services page as an available finishing process.
Vacuum metallization
Also listed on the original services page as an available finishing process.
Quality systems
ISO 9001 and TS 16949
The original RUIFAN website stated that the company makes vehicle parts complying with ISO 9001 and TS 16949 standards, and that both systems had been introduced.
Certificate numbers, issuing bodies and validity dates were not stored in the archived material. They are supplied on request. This page does not print a certificate number it cannot verify, because a buyer who checks one and finds it wrong will not check the next claim at all.
Checks that matter on an oil pan
- Sealing flange flatness across the full perimeter — the check that decides whether the part works at all
- Drain boss thread condition and squareness to the boss face
- Bolt pattern and hole position against the reference sample
- Section thickness where a casting carries load
- Coating coverage at seams and edges on steel parts
- Packing that protects the sealing flange in transit
Capacity
What Was Stated and What Was Not
On record
- Stated annual oil pan output of 500,000 pieces
- Founded 1994, manufacturing parts of this type since
- Quality systems recorded as ISO 9001 and TS 16949
- Six manufacturing and finishing processes listed
- Development from customer-supplied samples or drawings
- Export to Europe, North America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia
Not recorded in the archive
These are supplied on request for a specific programme. They are not estimated on this page.
Quality and Capability Questions
Can I have a copy of your ISO 9001 certificate?
Yes, on request. The original RUIFAN site recorded ISO 9001 and TS 16949 but did not publish certificate numbers or validity dates, so this site does not print them either.
What is your production capacity?
The original company profile stated annual oil pan output of 500,000 pieces. Capacity for a specific reference depends on tooling and scheduling and is confirmed per programme.
Which casting process will my part use?
It depends on volume, wall section and surface requirement. Die casting for thin-wall volume work, gravity for thick sections, sand for low volume and long-tail references. The method assumed by a quotation is stated in the quotation.
Do you carry out dimensional inspection?
Parts are checked against the reference sample for the catalogue number being run, with flange flatness, bolt pattern and drain boss condition as the priority checks. A detailed measuring equipment list was not recorded in the archive and is supplied on request.
Can you support a PPAP or first article process?
First article production and sign-off before series release is how development parts are handled. Specific documentation packages are agreed per programme.
