A torsion-bodied spring clip in stainless steel, combining the wide opening range of a coil body with corrosion resistance in the material. It suits clips that are opened often in environments where plating would not survive.
The coil body tolerates repeated wide opening, and stainless means the flexing area has no coating to crack.
Coil bodies flex constantly, and that is exactly where a plated finish breaks down first.
Coil count, leg length and free opening are set at sampling against your component.
Avoid contact with carbon steel tools and swarf during assembly, since embedded particles cause surface rust that will be blamed on the clip.

Against the high carbon torsion clip, stainless costs more, gives somewhat different force at the same geometry, and lasts indefinitely in wet service.
The force at identical geometry is not the same, so we redesign around the material. Specify the force and we design in the actual material.
