The part is accepted on force at stated heights rather than on dimensions alone, which is what an OEM assembly actually requires.
Drawing, revision and part number are recorded with the approved sample so repeat orders are unambiguous.
Precision tensile strength testers are used to confirm behaviour before the batch is packed.
Keep an approved sample at your own site as well. When a batch is questioned, two retained samples turn a dispute into a measurement.
