Frontlit, backlit, sidelit, edgelit or resin-faced: the choice changes the look far more than the price does.
Metal return and back, LEDs inside, acrylic face. The whole letter glows. Returns run typically 60mm to 100mm deep — the slimmer end suits thin and slim fonts. Returns are built in painted aluminum or brushed stainless depending on the build.
A solid metal face over a frosted acrylic back, pinned off the wall so the light washes the surface behind. By day it reads as plain metal. Halo builds in the catalogue use a 30mm thick frosted acrylic back.
Sidelit and edgelit builds put the light out through the acrylic edge — a thin line of color rather than a lit face. Resin-faced letters take a stainless side and back with a resin front, and go down to a 25mm minimum depth, which is the slimmest lit build listed.
Every illuminated build ships with a 12V DC CE and RoHS approved transformer, a 1:1 scale mounting template and the screw pins or bolts for that fixing method.

Frontlit, comfortably. If the sign must be legible across a car park at night, that is the build. Halo is about atmosphere at close and medium range, not distance legibility.

The resin-faced build is listed with a 25mm minimum depth, the slimmest lit option in the catalogue. Standard frontlit returns run typically 60mm to 100mm.
