About Sinoware
Established in 2007 in Shenzhen. A sourcing company that became a manufacturer because a customer needed a product nobody would build.
How It Started
Established in 2007, the company's initiative was to look for opportunities in Africa and South America, helping local partners with commodities at quality and a competitive price. With hundreds of product models and visits to thousands of factories, we came to understand the basic principles of how factories and logistics operate.
The Turn Into Manufacturing
In 2010 an Indonesian customer visited quickly. PLN, the Indonesian utility power company, needed a large quantity of SEHEN lamps. We sourced hard and could not find any. Not one factory wanted to develop for that demand without confidence and an assurance of future orders.
We recommended several replacement solar systems and were refused. It was an open tender, and following the instruction was a must. So we established our own R&D team. It was hard work. From moulding to components, after eight months of day and night work, the lamp passed the Indonesia laboratory test. We supplied 150,000 pieces of solar lamp to Lapuwan Island near Bali, and were one of the pioneers in this work from 2011.
What We Do Now
After that, with our feet in most undeveloped countries, we became aware that people in rural areas of many countries need the same lighting products. With that experience we support local partners with customisation for local demand, local production and cost optimisation, aiming to spread solar lamps to more people who need them.
