COB Recessed LED Downlight
The COB Recessed LED Downlight models GG2505B, CG3012B and CG4015B are designed for commercial interiors where flush ceiling mounting and consistent beam control are required. Each model operates on 220-240VAC, delivers 90lm/w efficiency, and uses Epistar LED chips with CRI above 80. The beam angle is fixed at 36 degrees across all models, and the housing is diecast aluminium. The downlights are available in 2.5 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch sizes with cut-out holes of Ø75mm, Ø95mm, Ø110mm and Ø130mm respectively. No dimming is available on the standard version. The driver is an IC type, and the diffuser is standard across all models.
Ask for the IES file or a Dialux calculation with your enquiry.
What This Fixture Does For You
- 90lm/w efficiency at 5W, 12W and 16W system power means lower energy use than equivalent halogen fixtures
- CRI above 80 maintains colour accuracy for retail displays and hospitality spaces
- 36 degree fixed beam angle provides consistent light spread without spill on adjacent surfaces
- Diecast aluminium housing improves heat dissipation and long-term lumen maintenance
- Flush ceiling mounting reduces visual clutter in offices, hotels and showrooms
- Standard diffuser reduces glare and creates a soft, even light field
- Available in 2.5 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch sizes to suit different ceiling cut-out requirements

Buyers And Applications
Who Buys It
- Lighting importers sourcing recessed downlights for commercial projects
- Electrical wholesalers stocking multiple sizes for different ceiling types
- Lighting designers specifying beam angle and cut-out size in their layouts
- Contractors installing flush lighting in new build or retrofit commercial interiors
- Hospitality project managers requiring consistent downlight performance across multiple units
Where It Is Used
- Retail shops needing consistent lighting across multiple display zones with no visible fixtures
- Showrooms where a clean, flush ceiling finish is required for modern interior design
- Hotels and villas using recessed lighting in corridors, lobbies and guest rooms
- Supermarkets and convenience stores where low glare and even wash are needed on product shelves
- Offices and meeting rooms where a uniform ceiling appearance supports a professional environment
What Goes Wrong Without It
- Halogen recessed downlights that draw more power for the same lumen output
- Low-CRI LED downlights that make skin tones and product colours appear dull
- Inconsistent beam spread from adjustable or poorly designed optics
- Poor heat dissipation in plastic housings that leads to early lumen decay
- Visible fixture profiles that disrupt the clean look of a modern ceiling
- Lack of standardised cut-out sizes across different downlight models
How It Is Built
- Epistar LED chip with CRI above 80 for accurate colour rendering
- IC driver with stable output and no flicker
- 90lm/w efficiency at 5W, 12W and 16W system power
- Fixed 36 degree beam angle for consistent light distribution
- Diecast aluminium housing for effective heat transfer and durability
- Standard polycarbonate diffuser to reduce glare and soften light
- Available in 2.5 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch sizes with matching cut-out diameters
- No dimming option on standard version, but compatible with external dimming systems
Materials
- Diecast aluminium housing for thermal management and structural rigidity
- Polycarbonate diffuser for glare reduction and light diffusion
- Epistar LED chips for consistent colour and lumen output
- IC driver for stable current delivery and long life
Certifications
- CE
- RoHS
- CCC
- CQC
- ISO 9001:2015 quality system
How It Is Made And Checked
Manufacturing Process
- Diecast aluminium housing machined and prepared for assembly
- LED board mounted and thermally bonded to the housing base
- IC driver connected and tested for stable output
- Polycarbonate diffuser fitted and secured to the housing
- Beam angle fixed at 36 degrees during assembly
- Final inspection before packaging
Quality Control
- Incoming inspection of Epistar chips, IC drivers and diecast housings
- Photometric testing to verify lumen output and colour temperature
- Temperature testing on assembled fixtures
- Reliability testing before batch release
- 100% inspection of every fixture before shipment
What We Can Change For You
- Choose from 5W, 12W and 16W system power models
- Select from 2.5 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch sizes with matching cut-out diameters
- Choose colour temperature from 3000K, 4000K or 6000K
- No dimming option available on standard version
- 3D drawing and mock-up sample available within 3 days for OEM designs
How It Compares With The Alternatives
| Halogen recessed downlight | Draws less power for similar output, but initial fixture cost is higher |
|---|---|
| Adjustable beam downlight | Fixed 36 degree beam gives consistent spread, but cannot be re-aimed after installation |
| Plastic-housed downlight | Diecast aluminium improves heat dissipation and long-term performance |
| Integrated ceiling panel system | Easier to install and replace, but less flexible in beam control and size options |
Before You Order And Before You Install
- Confirm the ceiling cut-out size matches the model before installation
- Use 36 degree beam for consistent wash across display areas without spill
- Select 3000K for warm hospitality spaces, 4000K for neutral retail, 6000K for bright office zones
- Do not attempt to retrofit dimming to the standard version
- Ensure the mounting surface is solid and level to prevent misalignment
- Use the correct cut-out size to avoid gaps or damage to the diffuser
