4 Wire 40W LED Track Light
The CH-GD8814 is a 40W four-wire LED track light designed for commercial interiors where multiple lighting scenes are controlled from a single rail. It operates on 220-240VAC, delivers 3600 lumens at 90lm/w, and uses a CREE LED chip with CRI above 90, ensuring accurate colour rendering for retail and hospitality environments. The head rotates 355 degrees horizontally and tilts 90 degrees vertically, allowing re-aiming after installation. Beam angle is selected at order from 15, 24, 36, 45 or 60 degrees. Triac and DALI dimming are optional. The adapter is available in 2, 3 or 4 wire versions, enabling compatibility with existing multi-circuit tracks already installed on site.
Ask for the IES file or a Dialux calculation with your enquiry.
What This Fixture Does For You
- CRI above 90 maintains accurate colour for merchandise, skin tones and materials under the beam
- 3600 lumens from 40W means fewer fixtures per bay than lower-efficiency alternatives
- Four-wire adapter supports separate switching of multiple lighting scenes on one rail
- Five beam angles from 15 to 60 degrees allow both accent and general lighting from one model
- Extruded aluminium housing acts as a heatsink, stabilising output over time
- Lifud flicker-free driver prevents banding in video and mobile phone footage
- 355 degree rotation and 90 degree tilt allow re-aiming when store layouts change

Buyers And Applications
Who Buys It
- Lighting importers stocking a commercial track range for retail contractors
- Electrical wholesalers requiring 2, 3 and 4 wire options from one supplier
- Lighting designers specifying beam angle per zone on a Dialux layout
- Shopfitting contractors refitting stores on a fixed handover date
- Hotel and hospitality FF&E buyers replacing halogen spots with LED
Where It Is Used
- Retail floors where garment colour must match catalogue images and in-store displays
- Jewellery and watch counters requiring a 15 or 24 degree beam for focused sparkle
- Supermarket fresh food aisles lit on a separate dimming circuit for energy control
- Hotel lobbies and reception areas where fittings are re-aimed for seasonal or event displays
- Showrooms and galleries needing individually aimed lights for artwork and vehicles
What Goes Wrong Without It
- Halogen track spots that consume far more power for the same visual brightness
- Low-CRI LED spots that make red and brown merchandise appear flat and grey
- Fixed beam fittings that cannot be re-aimed when the store layout is changed
- Cheap drivers that flicker on camera and fail early in warm ceiling voids
- Mixed rail systems on site where the adapter does not match the installed track
How It Is Built
- CREE LED chip with CRI above 90 for colour-critical retail display
- Lifud flicker-free constant current driver with DC30-40V 950mA output
- Power factor above 0.95 to limit reactive load on the shop circuit
- Extruded aluminium housing acting as the primary heatsink
- Optional Triac or DALI dimming declared at order
- 355 degree horizontal rotation and 90 degree vertical tilt
- 2, 3 or 4 wire adapter to suit single or multi-circuit track
Materials
- Extruded aluminium housing and heatsink
- Polycarbonate and aluminium optical assembly
- Powder coated finish applied in our own coating plant
Certifications
- CE
- RoHS
- CCC
- CQC
- ISO 9001:2015 quality system
How It Is Made And Checked
Manufacturing Process
- Aluminium extrusion cut and machined to the CH-GD8814 heatsink profile
- Powder coating in house so finish colour is matched batch to batch
- LED board mounted and thermally bonded to the extrusion
- Lifud driver wired and the adapter fitted to the ordered wire count
- Optic and beam angle lens fitted per order
- Aging test on an automatic aging line before packing
Quality Control
- Incoming inspection of LED chips, drivers and extrusions before assembly
- Photometric testing to confirm lumen output and colour temperature
- Temperature testing on the assembled fixture
- Aging test on one of two automatic aging lines
- Reliability testing before the batch is released
- 100% inspection of every fixture before shipment
What We Can Change For You
- Beam angle selected from 15, 24, 36, 45 or 60 degrees at order
- Colour temperature selected from 2700K to 6000K
- Adapter supplied in 2, 3 or 4 wire configuration
- Triac or DALI dimming version
- Housing colour changed in our own powder coating plant
- 3D drawing within 2 days and mock-up sample within 3 days for OEM designs
How It Compares With The Alternatives
| Halogen track spotlight | Draws 40W against several times that for similar visual output, but the initial fixture cost is higher |
|---|---|
| 20W zoomable track light | Higher output for large-format retail, but the beam angle is fixed at order rather than adjustable on site |
| Recessed COB downlight | Re-aimable and surface mounted, so better for changing layouts, though it is visible rather than flush in the ceiling |
| Integrated linear rail systems | Individually aimed heads give sharper accent control, but need more setting out on site |
Before You Order And Before You Install
- Confirm the installed track is 2, 3 or 4 wire before ordering the adapter
- Use 15 or 24 degrees for accent on merchandise and 45 or 60 degrees for general wash
- Mount the rail 2.8 to 3.5 metres above the floor for typical retail ceiling heights
- Group heads on the same circuit if you plan to dim them together
- Specify Triac or DALI at order because dimming is not field-retrofittable
- Ask for a Dialux calculation before finalising head count and spacing

Read Before You Specify
How To Choose The Beam Angle For A LED Track Light
Beam angle decides whether a display reads as an accent or a wash. This guide works from ceiling height and display width to the angle you should order.
2 Wire 3 Wire And 4 Wire Track Systems Explained
Wire count decides how many lighting groups you can switch on one rail. Getting it wrong means rewiring the ceiling or reordering the heads.
What CRI Means For Retail And Hospitality Lighting
CRI is the number that decides whether merchandise looks like the catalogue. Here is what to specify and why the difference between 80 and 90 is visible.
Frequently Asked Questions
What beam angles can I order for this track light?
15, 24, 36, 45 and 60 degrees. The beam angle is set at production, so tell us the mix per container when you place the order.
Does it work on my existing track?
The adapter is made in 2, 3 and 4 wire versions. Send a photo of the rail end and adapter and we will confirm the match before production.
Is it dimmable?
Triac and DALI versions are both available and must be chosen at order. The standard version is not dimmable.
What CRI and lumen output can I expect?
CRI above 90 with 3600 system lumens at 40W, which is 90 lumens per watt at fixture level.
Which certifications do you hold?
Our fixtures are certified to CE, RoHS, CCC and CQC, and the factory is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
Can you make an OEM version with our housing colour?
Yes. We run our own powder coating plant, so housing colour changes are done in house. We can send a 3D drawing in 2 days and a mock-up sample in 3 days.
Can you supply photometric files for our lighting design?
Yes, we supply IES files and can run Dialux calculations for your layout.
