GC-2005 Pinpointing Metal Detector
The GC-2005 shows how close you are to a target rather than just that one exists: a first green LED lights on detection, then a second and third as the probe approaches, with sound and vibration throughout. It runs a flashlight continuously, initialises in about 2 seconds, and suspends detection after about 10 seconds on the same target to save battery, recovering after about 1 second.

Key benefits
- Three-stage LED indication showing how close the probe is to the target
- Sound and vibration alongside the LED sequence
- Flashlight stays lit during operation for working in a dug hole
- Automatic power saving after about 10 seconds on the same target
- Ready to use about 2 seconds after switch-on
Problems it solves
- A single-stage alarm gives no sense of how close the target is
- Continuous alarming over one target drains the battery
- A dug hole is too dark to search by eye
- Loose soil hides small targets after digging
Who it is for
- Detectorists who want proximity feedback, not just a yes or no
- Users working across sand, lawn and soil in one session
- Buyers wanting a compact probe with a built-in light
Application scenarios
- Indoor searching, sand, lawn and soil
- Coin, gold, silver, relic and jewellery recovery
- Pinpointing after a general detector search
- Working in a dug hole where a light is needed
Technical features
- Three green LEDs indicating progressive proximity
- Simultaneous beeping and vibration
- Built-in flashlight, lit throughout operation
- Automatic detection suspend and recovery for power saving
- Single POWER ON/OFF button

Compared with other models in the range
The HS-08, HS-11 and HS-12 probes are IP68 rated and can be used in water. The GC-2005 is not waterproof, but it gives three-stage proximity indication and keeps a flashlight lit throughout, which makes it the better dry-ground probe.
Use guide
- Press POWER and hold the probe still, away from metal, for about 2 seconds while it initialises
- Approach the target and watch the LEDs light in sequence as you get closer
- Expect detection to suspend after about 10 seconds over one target, recovering after about 1 second
- Use the flashlight, which stays lit, when searching inside a hole
- Do not immerse, this probe is not waterproof
