A pasteurizer arranged for the yogurt process and used in milk production factories making yogurt products. The process flow runs from product inlet at 5 degrees C through heating to 65 degrees C, homogenising, pasteurising at 90 to 95 degrees C for 300S and leaving the unit at 43 degrees C so the product goes straight to inoculation and fermentation. Working capacity runs from 500L/H to 20,000L/H, customised, in SUS304 or SUS316L, with semi automatic or full automatic control and high heat recovery in the plate pack.
The 90 to 95 degrees C hold for 300S is the heat treatment the yogurt process needs rather than a general pasteurisation curve
Product leaves at 43 degrees C so no separate cooling step is needed before the culture is added
High heat recovery in the plate pack cuts the steam and cooling demand of each batch
Supplied with balance tank pumps hot water tank pipe and fittings so the stage arrives as a connected package
Semi automatic and full automatic control let the plant buy the automation level it will run
General pasteurisation curves do not give the yogurt mix the heat treatment its texture depends on
Product leaving hot has to be cooled separately before culture can be added
Heat treatment without recovery makes every batch expensive in steam and chilled water
Buying exchanger pumps hot water set and controls separately leaves integration risk at commissioning

Figures shown are taken from the supplying factory documentation. Anything not listed here is confirmed in writing before order.
The general plate pasteurizer runs a shorter hold and returns product cold while this unit holds longer and leaves product at inoculation temperature
UHT treatment targets shelf stable product while this unit prepares a yogurt mix for fermentation
Semi automatic control lowers the initial cost where operators run the sequence themselves
The mix is heated to 90 to 95 degrees C and held for 300S, then leaves the unit at 43 degrees C.
That is the temperature the mix goes on to inoculation and fermentation at, so no separate cooling step is needed.
From 500L/H to 20,000L/H, customised to the line.
Plate heat exchanger, product pump, hot water pump, hot water tank, product balance tank, an electrical control cabinet with Schneider components and Siemens PLC touch screen, and stainless steel pipe and fittings.
Yes. The unit can be ordered with semi automatic control or with full automatic control.
Manufacturing time follows the throughput and automation level chosen and is stated in writing with the quotation.
