Wire Rope Clips and Rope Thimbles

What is the difference between DIN 741 and JIS type clips
They are two national patterns for the same job. DIN 741 uses a forged saddle with a U bolt, the JIS type uses a different saddle profile and is common in Asian markets. Saddle sizes are not interchangeable, so pick one pattern per assembly.
How many clips does an eye need
The number depends on rope diameter and the standard your market follows. As a rule the saddle always sits on the live part of the rope and the U bolt on the dead tail. Check the rope maker instruction for the exact count and spacing.
Why fit a thimble
The thimble keeps the eye round so the rope is not crushed or bent tighter than its minimum radius. Without one the eye deforms and the rope loses strength at the loop.
What sizes do you supply
Clips run from size 3 to size 12 in both DIN 741 and JIS patterns. Thimbles run 3 mm to 12 mm.
Can I use stainless clips on galvanised rope
It is done, but the two metals can react in wet conditions. Where the assembly stays wet or salty, match the clip material to the rope.
