When should I use a delta quick link instead of an oval one
The delta shape has a wide flat base, so it holds three legs apart and keeps them from riding on top of each other. Use the oval body for a simple in line join.
Should the gate be tightened with a tool
Hand tight is normal. Overtightening with pliers deforms the thread and makes the link very hard to reopen later.
