Paper Cushion Making Machine

Product Overview

The EM-PR800 rewinds kraft paper at up to 760 mm wide and 80 m per minute, feeding from two unwinding positions so that one or two layers can be laid together. It exists to give the cushion making machine a clean, flat, evenly wound input: paper with no folds, wrinkles, holes or grit, so that pressing quality and finished product rate are not held back by the raw material.

Key Benefits

  • Produces flat clean paper with no folds, wrinkles, holes or sand, so pressing quality is not compromised
  • Two roll unwinding lays up a two layer web that cushions more strongly than one layer
  • Hot pressing gives good elasticity and high flatness, raising the finished product rate
  • Roll ends are flat with no more than two joints per roll
Problems It Solves

What This Machine Fixes

  • Folds, wrinkles and grit in the incoming paper show up as defects in the pressed cushion
  • Uneven heat transfer during pressing produces inconsistent cushion elasticity
  • Rolls with many joints stop the downstream former repeatedly
Who It Is For

Who Buys It

  • Cushion paper producers running a rewinder and former in sequence
  • Converters whose finished product rate suffers from raw material defects
  • Plants that buy wide mill reels and need working widths
Application Scenarios

Where The Output Is Used

  • Preparing two layer paper for the kraft paper cushion making machine
  • Rewinding mill reels into the width and diameter a converting line needs
  • Removing defects from bought-in paper before it reaches the cushion former
  • Standardising core and roll size across a cushion paper production cell

Quality Control

  • Finished paper inspected for folds, wrinkles, holes and grit
  • Roll ends checked for flatness with no more than two joints per roll
  • Heat transfer held stable through the run rather than set once

Use Guide

  • Match both unwinding rolls for grade and tension before laying up two layers
  • Allow the full 8500 mm machine length plus access when planning the cell
  • Inspect the first finished roll for flatness before releasing the run
  • Keep joints to a minimum, no more than two per roll
Comparison

How It Compares With The Alternatives

Compared with Kraft Paper Cushion Making Machine

The cushion machine forms the finished pad. This rewinder prepares the one or two layer paper it consumes, which is why the two are usually bought together.

Compared with Buying pre-rewound paper

Rewinding in house means the width, diameter, core size and defect level are set by you rather than by the supplier.

Answers

Kraft Paper Rewinding Machine for Cushion Paper Making FAQ

Why do we need a rewinder before the cushion machine?

The cushion pressing quality depends on flat, clean paper. Paper with folds, wrinkles, holes or grit affects the platen and lowers the finished product rate.

Can it make two layer paper?

Yes. It feeds from two unwinding rolls, and two layer paper gives a stronger cushion effect than one layer.

What width and speed does it run?

Maximum material width 760 mm at zero to 80 m per minute.

How long is the machine?

8500 mm long, 1200 mm wide and 2000 mm high, at 1500 kg.

What roll sizes does it take?

Unwinding to 1200 mm diameter and 1 tonne, rewinding to 300 mm diameter.

How many joints are acceptable in a finished roll?

No more than two per roll, with flat roll ends.
