Cotton Webbing Tape No 9 comes off the same narrow fabric looms that have been running here since 1996. Any width, and a thickness from 0.65 mm up to 2.5 mm unless you need something outside that. Shade is agreed on a woven sample before the bulk lot runs, and that lot covers the entire order. Samples take 3 to 7 days and production 7 to 15 days once the sample is approved.

How It Compares
Cotton gives the natural hand and takes later dyeing, which polyester will not. Polyester holds length and colour far better and does not mildew, so it wins outdoors.
Polypropylene is lighter, cheaper and will not rot, but nothing about it feels natural. For anything touching skin or paired with natural fabric, cotton is the honest choice.
Linen carries more strength and durability but is less pliable. Cotton is more flexible and easier to work with, which matters where the tape has to be glued or turned.

- Quote a yarn count rather than words like soft or heavy; 21s and 40s are very different tapes
- Allow for the shrinkage cotton shows on first wash if the finished item is laundered

Will cotton webbing shrink
Some shrinkage on first wash is normal for cotton. If the finished product will be laundered, allow for it in your cut length or ask us about a pre-shrunk finish.
What does yarn count mean on cotton webbing
Count measures how much yarn length makes up a fixed weight. One pound of 10s measures 10 times 840 yards. The larger the number the finer the yarn, so 40s gives a lighter, thinner, softer tape and 10s gives a thicker, heavier, coarser one.
