Water Features and Fountains

Application

Water Features and Fountains

Sphere fountains with the pipe, funnel and base plate built into the ball

Industry Pain Points

What Usually Goes Wrong

  • A sphere drilled on site rarely produces an even sheet of water and leaks at the entry point
  • Water flowing unevenly leaves mineral streaks down one side of the reflection
  • Pipe lengths and base plates never match the basin that was actually built
  • Constant water contact demands a grade chosen for corrosion, not for price

What Buyers Ask For

  • Inner pipe run through the ball with a funnel shaped outlet at the top
  • Pipe exiting the base, typically with a further 10 inch length to the base plate
  • Square stainless base plate sized to the basin and fixing centres
  • AISI 304 or AISI 316 selected for the water chemistry and exposure

Typical Scenarios

Where the Work Ends Up

Garden and courtyard fountains

A sphere sitting on a pedestal tube with water flowing across the mirror surface.

Pond and pool features

Floating balls and fixed spheres set into an existing water body.

Commercial forecourts

Larger diameter fountain spheres with base plates matched to the basin.

Retrofit into an existing basin

Pipe lengths and plate sizes built to the dimensions you measure on site.

FAQ

Water Features and Fountains FAQ

Do you work directly with designers on this kind of project?

Yes. We cooperate with architects, real estate developers, landscape designers and interior designers, and we work with sculpture artists to create customised pieces to their needs.

What information do you need to quote?

Diameter or size, grade, wall thickness, finish, mounting method, any openings or patterns, and the destination country. A drawing or a photograph is enough to start.

Which grade suits this application?

304 for indoor work. 316 or 316L outdoors, and specifically in coastal cities and acid rain regions where the chloride and acidity in the air attack lower grades.

How is the work delivered to site?

Air express for samples and small orders, bulk air for medium and urgent orders, sea freight for larger pieces. 7 feet is the largest diameter that goes by conventional freight.
