How We Work From Your Idea
Our factory has a 3D drawing design team and its own artist team, so we can create quality art sculpture in the right material from your small samples, your ideas, 3D drawings or detailed pictures. OEM and ODM orders are welcome. If you have a design of your own, share it and we will discuss the fabrication detail against it.
Material and Process
Models for sculpture creation are generally around 304 and 316. Mirror stainless steel sculpture materials are usually sheet metal, available in a variety of thicknesses. The main processing form for plate is forging and welding: external force forges the plate surface into the corresponding shape, several plates are welded together, and the piece is then polished to a mirror finish. Stainless steel casting is a second route, similar to copper casting, and the mirror effect is produced by polishing after the casting is complete.
Why Stainless Steel Became the Mainstream
Stainless steel sculpture has become the mainstream of modern urban sculpture because it does not rust easily, is easy to clean, resists wind and is durable. The main materials are 316 and 316L, 304 and 201. In general 304 works for indoor sculpture, and 316 should be selected for coastal cities and acid rain areas because of the effect of airborne acidity. Compared with 304, 316 is a permanent material with better corrosion resistance and durability. We suggest 316 for outdoor and indoor sculpture in general, and we do not hold the idea that 201 is suitable for stainless steel sculpture.
