Which European plug should I choose?
CEE 7/7 is the usual answer for an earthed appliance because it works in both German and French sockets. Use the CEE 7/16 Europlug only for Class II appliances that do not need an earth connection.
Which cable types do you mould?
H03VVH2-F, H05VV-F and H05RN-F are the common European cable types for this group. Tell us the current rating and we will confirm the gauge with you.
Is the same plug used in New Zealand?
Yes. AS/NZS 3112 is a joint Australian and New Zealand standard, so one cord set covers both markets.
What is the standard rating?
The common domestic plug is rated 10 A at 250 V. Higher rated versions exist for specific applications, so tell us the load and we will confirm.
Which fuse rating do I need?
It follows the appliance load. Small electronics normally use 3 A, medium loads 5 A and high current appliances 13 A. Tell us the rating and we will fit it.
Are the plugs moulded or rewireable?
We supply moulded, non-rewireable BS 1363 plugs for cord sets. That construction is the standard for factory fitted appliance leads.
