Italy power cord
Italian cord sets use the CEI 23-50 plug, a three-pin in-line pattern available in 10 A and 16 A versions with different pin diameters and spacings. Italy also has a large installed base of Schuko sockets, so many products ship with a hybrid or a dedicated Italian cord depending on where they will be used.

How It Is Made
The plug is moulded directly onto the cable on our own tooling, so there is no screw joint and no field wiring. The company runs first class producing equipment and advanced mould processing equipment, and quality control is applied at each stage rather than only at the end.
We mould Italian plugs onto flexible PVC cable and finish them with an IEC connector or prepared leads. IMQ approval applies to this range.

Should I order the 10 A or 16 A plug?
It follows the appliance load and the socket it will meet. The two versions have different pin diameters, so they are not interchangeable.
Can I just use a Schuko plug?
Many Italian sockets accept Schuko, but not all. Where the socket is a dedicated Italian outlet the CEI 23-50 plug is needed.
What approval do you hold?
