Hose and Coupling Assembly at the Jason plant

Solution

Hose and Coupling Assembly

Most hose failures in the field happen at the joint, not in the middle of the length. Making hose and couplings in one plant means the coupling is matched to the actual hose outside diameter and wall, and the assembly is tested as one item.

Process

Every Stage and the Problem It Removes

Each step below pairs a real failure mode with what we do about it, rather than describing a generic workflow.

  1. Selection

Coupling standards are not interchangeable, and a mismatch is only discovered on site

We make Storz to DIN14301 and DIN14303, camlock to MIL-C-27487F, plus Bauer, multilug, quick VIC and drag hose couplings

  2. Material Matching

A coupling in the wrong material corrodes out before the hose does

Aluminium, 6061-T6 alloy, brass, galvanised steel, stainless steel and PP are all produced, chosen against the fluid and environment

  3. Manufacturing

Cast quality varies widely across coupling suppliers

Couplings are cast or forged in our own production, with surface anodisation on the aluminium ranges

  4. Fitting

Field-fitted couplings are only as good as the crew and the tools available that day

Assemblies are made up in the plant so the clamping load and seating are correct before the hose ships

  5. Testing

An untested joint is the weakest point of a tested hose

The assembly is pressure tested as one item at 1.5 times working pressure for 2 hours

Products This Solution Covers

Aluminium drag hose coupling for slurry application

Hose Coupling

Drag Hose Coupling

The drag hose coupling connects a drag hose to the applicator in umbilical slurry and liquid fertiliser work, where the joint is pulled across a field while it is under pressure.

FAQ

Questions About Hose and Coupling Assembly

Can you supply hose with couplings already fitted

Yes. Hose and couplings are made in the same plant and supplied as complete assemblies.

Which coupling works with TPU layflat hose

Quick VIC in 4 to 16 inch, made in 6061-T6 aluminium for this duty.

Do you make stainless steel couplings

Yes, in the Bauer, camlock and Storz ranges.

How do I choose between aluminium and steel

Send the fluid and the environment. Aluminium is lighter and anodised, steel is chosen where abrasion or corrosion would defeat aluminium.
