Who the Customer Was
The Sichuan Provincial Fire Brigade, buying for a timed fire competition.
The Challenge
The brigade needed 200 pieces of 6 inch fire suction hose. Because the competition is scored on time, the deciding factor was not price but how fast two firefighters could get the draft line to the water and connected.

Our Solution
What We Supplied
Light fire suction hose made in PVC rather than rubber, which is lighter and softer while still resistant to high pressure. It is one of our main products. Sizes run 4 to 8 inch in 2 m or 4 m lengths, with special lengths available. Coupling options included Storz, threaded and quick couplings, with Russian GOST and British instantaneous couplings also available.
Manufacturing Process
- PVC wall with rigid helix, selected over rubber for weight and flexibility
- 6 inch bore cut to competition length
- Coupling type matched to the brigade existing fittings
- Pressure test at 1.5 times working pressure before packing
Supply Chain Coordination
Several rounds of technical discussion with the brigade before the order was placed, so the specification was fixed before production started.
Quality Control
Each fire suction hose was pressure tested at 1.5 times working pressure before packing to prevent leakage.
