Platform Scales Questions
What is the difference between IP67 and IP68 on these scales?
IP67 covers temporary immersion and is enough for benches that are hosed and wiped. IP68 models such as the Super-SS add a fully sealed PCB design and a ventilated sealing ring on the load cell, which is what you want where the scale is washed down every shift.
How long does the battery last?
It varies by model and is published on each product page. The S29 for example gives up to 70 hours of continuous use without the backlight, with about one year of standby life from its internal rechargeable battery.
Can I get an approved scale for selling by weight?
Yes. Several models in this range are CE and OIML approved, including the S29 and T28. Tell us the country of use so we confirm the approval covers your market.
Can you supply a rear display for the customer side?
Some models offer an optional rear display, for example the 20 mm rear display option on the S29. Ask for it at quotation stage as it is not fitted to the standard build.
