Specialty and Mechanical Parts
Made-to-drawing functional parts for prototypes, custom assemblies and specialized applications.
What This Work Involves
When the part has a job to do rather than a look to achieve, the drawing is the specification and the tolerance is the whole point.
The Problem
A single functional part — a shaft, a housing, a clamp collar — stops a build, and no production supplier wants to quote one piece.
What You Get
Functional parts are cut to the tolerances your drawing calls for, in the quantity you actually need, with the same supplier available when you need more.
Made For These Customers
- Engineers validating a mechanism before tooling
- Equipment builders replacing an obsolete component
- Product teams building working prototypes
- Anyone whose assembly is waiting on one machined part
Components Machined In This Family
Each of these is made to your drawing. Nothing here is a catalogue item with a fixed size.
Housings and mounting blocks
Milled with bores, bosses and tapped holes
Shafts and spindles
Turned to drawing with shoulders and threads
Bushings and sleeves
Turned in brass, bronze-class and steel alloys
Clamp collars
Slit and drilled to the drawing
Flanges and adaptor plates
Milled with bolt patterns to your dimensions
Custom fasteners and studs
Threaded to the callout on the PDF
Specialty and Mechanical Parts Manufacturing Data
| Manufactured from | Your drawings, CAD files and specifications |
|---|---|
| Standard tolerance | ±0.05 mm |
| Tight tolerance | ±0.01 mm for high-precision applications |
| General tolerance standard | ISO 2768-m |
| Materials | Aluminum 6061 / 7075, stainless steel 304 / 316L, brass C360 / copper, carbon steel, POM and PEEK |
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days |
| Material certificates | TBC — request with your order |
Anything marked TBC is not published because it depends on your part. Send the drawing and it will be confirmed with the quote rather than guessed at here.
Specialty and Mechanical Parts Questions
Can you make a replacement for a part I no longer have a supplier for?
Yes, if you can supply a dimensioned drawing or the original part’s specification. GRACTS manufactures to the drawing you provide.
What tolerance is held on functional parts?
±0.05 mm as standard, ±0.01 mm where the application requires it, with untoleranced dimensions to ISO 2768-m.
Do you machine engineering plastics?
Aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper and engineering plastics including POM and PEEK are all listed among the materials GRACTS machines.
Can you supply material certificates?
Certification availability is confirmed per order. Ask when you send the drawing so it can be arranged before production.
