CNC Milling
3-axis and multi-axis milling for prismatic housings, chassis blocks and flanged bodies in aluminum, brass and stainless steel.
Why This Service Exists
Milling is where most GRACTS parts start: a solid block becomes a pocketed housing, a slotted chassis or a flanged body held to drawing.
The Problem
Small-batch milled parts get rejected by large shops or quoted at production MOQs, so designers end up compromising the geometry to fit whatever a hobby mill can hold.
What You Get
You keep the geometry you designed. Pockets, bosses, counterbores and slots are cut to the drawing, and the same setup sheet is reused when you reorder.
Built For These Projects
- Prop and replica designers milling chassis plates and internal frames
- EDC brands producing machined bodies, clips and hardware
- Product teams needing functional aluminum housings before tooling exists
- Equipment builders replacing a discontinued milled bracket or mount

How The Work Runs
Drawing Review
We read your STEP or DXF against the PDF and flag anything that cannot be held before quoting.
Fixture Planning
Setups and workholding are decided so the critical datum is cut in one operation where possible.
Roughing
Bulk material is removed with the part still rigid in the fixture.
Finishing Passes
Critical faces and bores are finished last, to the tolerance called on the drawing.
Inspection
Dimensions called on the drawing are measured before the part leaves the shop.
CNC Milling Questions
What tolerance can you hold on milled aluminum parts?
Standard milled work is held to ±0.05 mm. Where the drawing calls for it, tight tolerances to ±0.01 mm are achievable on high-precision features. Untoleranced dimensions follow ISO 2768-m.
Will you mill a single prototype?
Yes. The minimum order quantity is 1 piece, and single prototype orders are accepted.
What files do you need to quote a milled part?
A STEP, IGES, DXF or PDF file. If you only have a sketch, describe the part and we will tell you what is missing before quoting.
How long does a milled part take?
Standard lead time is 7–10 business days. Rush production in 3–5 business days is available — tell us your date when you send the drawing.
