Everything GRACTS Machines Finishes and Prints
Six services covering the whole part: milled and turned geometry, engraved detail, surface finishing, printed components, and the small-batch model that ties them together.

CNC Milling
Milling is where most GRACTS parts start: a solid block becomes a pocketed housing, a slotted chassis or a flanged body held to drawing.
3-axis and multi-axis milling for prismatic housings, chassis blocks and flanged bodies in aluminum, brass and stainless steel.
| Typical geometry | Pockets, bosses, slots, counterbores, flats, tapped holes, engraved faces |
|---|---|
| Standard tolerance | ±0.05 mm |
| Tight tolerance | ±0.01 mm on high-precision features |
| General tolerance standard | ISO 2768-m |
| Common materials | Aluminum 6061 / 7075, brass C360, stainless steel 303 / 304 / 316L, carbon steel |
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days |
| Rush lead time | 3–5 business days |
| Accepted files | STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF |
| Maximum part envelope | TBC — confirm with your drawing |

CNC Turning
Anything round on your drawing — a sleeve, a shroud, a threaded collar, a bushing — is turned rather than milled, which keeps concentricity tight and cost down.
Turned bodies, sleeves, emitters, bushings and threaded fittings in brass, aluminum and stainless steel, with knurling and threading in the same setup.
| Typical geometry | Bores, shoulders, external and internal threads, knurls, grooves, chamfers |
|---|---|
| Standard tolerance | ±0.05 mm |
| Tight tolerance | ±0.01 mm on high-precision diameters |
| General tolerance standard | ISO 2768-m |
| Common materials | Brass C360, aluminum 6061 / 7075, stainless steel 303 / 304 / 316L |
| Thread forms | Metric and imperial to drawing — confirm pitch and class on the PDF |
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days |
| Maximum turned diameter and length | TBC — confirm with your drawing |

Precision Engraving
Some parts are judged by how the detail reads in the hand. Engraving and fine machining are handled as a designed feature, not an afterthought.
Fine machining and engraving for parts where detail, geometry and appearance carry the design — fins, flutes, cut-outs, logos and marked faces.
| Typical detail work | Fins, flutes, windows, cut-outs, radial patterns, engraved logos and text |
|---|---|
| Standard tolerance | ±0.05 mm |
| Tight tolerance | ±0.01 mm where detail features require it |
| Materials | Aluminum 6061 / 7075, brass C360, stainless steel 303 / 304 / 316L |
| Artwork formats | DXF or PDF vector artwork, or a dimensioned drawing |
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days |
| Engraving depth and character height | TBC — specify on the drawing |

Surface Finishing
Finish decides how the part looks, how it wears and what it costs to reject. It is chosen with the material, not after the part is already cut.
Anodizing Type II and Type III, electroplating in nickel, chrome or zinc, powder coating, mirror polishing, brushed finish and passivation for stainless steel.
| Anodizing | Type II and Type III |
|---|---|
| Electroplating | Nickel, chrome, zinc |
| Powder coating | Available on suitable substrates |
| Polishing | Mirror polish |
| Brushed | Brushed finish |
| Stainless treatment | Passivation |
| Colour matching | TBC — send a reference or sample with the order |
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days including finishing |

3D Printing
Not every part in an assembly has to be machined. Printing is offered alongside machining so one supplier can cover the whole bill of materials.
Printed parts through the same vetted supplier network, used for fit checks and for geometry that does not need to be cut from metal.
| Service model | Delivered through GRACTS’ network of vetted factories |
|---|---|
| Typical use | Fit checks, non-structural parts, jigs and fixtures |
| Accepted files | STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF |
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days |
| Rush lead time | 3–5 business days |
| Available processes and print materials | TBC — confirm when you send the model |
| Layer height and print tolerance | TBC — confirm when you send the model |

Prototypes and Small Batches
GRACTS is built around the quantity most shops turn away: one piece to start, then the same part again when it sells.
One-off prototypes, limited runs and repeat small-batch orders, with the same program and setup reused each time you come back.
| Minimum order quantity | 1 piece — single prototype orders accepted |
|---|---|
| Volume pricing from | 100 pieces and above |
| Standard lead time | 7–10 business days |
| Rush lead time | 3–5 business days |
| Quote response | Within 24 hours of receiving the drawing |
| Accepted files | STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF |
| Standard tolerance | ±0.05 mm, tight tolerance to ±0.01 mm |
| General tolerance standard | ISO 2768-m |
