The Situation

What This Buyer Is Actually Solving

Pizza, ready-meal, soup, sauce and bakery plants buy canned produce as an ingredient, not as a finished pack. What matters is a predictable drained weight, a cut style that goes straight into the process without a second handling step, and enough confidence in foreign-matter control to put the ingredient into a branded product.

Pain Points

  • Drained weight drifting between deliveries throws out a fixed recipe cost
  • Cut styles that need re-cutting on site add labour to a line that has none spare
  • Foreign matter in an ingredient becomes the manufacturer's recall, not the supplier's
  • Bulk formats and retail formats usually come from different suppliers on different lead times
  • Seasonal produce arrives late when nobody planned the order against the harvest calendar

What They Need From a Cannery

  • Large-format tins that suit a batch rather than a portion
  • Consistent cut style and firmness across a season
  • Documented metal detection and X-ray screening
  • One supplier for mushroom, fruit and vegetable ingredients
  • Third-party inspection accepted before shipment

Typical Applications

  • Sliced champignon in 2840G tins loaded straight onto a pizza topping line
  • Diced fruit cocktail in 3000G tins for a dairy dessert filling
  • Pieces and stems mushroom for a mushroom soup batch process
  • Diced carrot and mixed vegetable for a ready-meal component
  • Apricot and peach halves in bulk tins for a bakery filling line

How an Order Runs

  1. Send the ingredient specification, including cut style, drained weight and packing medium
  2. We confirm which of our lines already produces it and what needs adjusting
  3. Samples are produced and sent for line trial approval
  4. Volume is booked against the raw material season for that crop
  5. Production runs with metal detection and double X-ray screening on every unit
  6. Your inspection agency checks the goods before the container is loaded

Delivery Capability

  • Quoted on a 1 x 20 foot FCL basis with LCL consolidation available
  • Mixed ingredient containers combining mushroom, fruit and vegetable lines
  • Production and shipment scheduled to the plan you provide
  • Export experience in the United States, Canada, Russia, South Korea, Japan and Germany

Food Manufacturing Questions

Can you hold a consistent drained weight for a recipe?

Fill is set against the pack specification agreed for your order and held through the run. Send the drained weight you build the recipe around and we will confirm it against the format before production.

Which formats suit a manufacturing line rather than retail?

The 2840G and 2500G tins on vegetable and mushroom lines and the 3000G and 2650G tins on fruit lines are the usual manufacturing formats.

How is foreign matter controlled?

All ingredients on the production line pass metal detectors, and every tin and glass jar is scanned by a double X-ray machine before packing.

Can we run a line trial before committing?

Yes. We produce to a submitted sample or data sheet, so a trial quantity can be made to your specification before the main booking.

Do you supply more than one ingredient group?

Mushroom, fruit and vegetable and bean lines all run on the same site, so a single order can cover several ingredients.
