The Situation

What This Buyer Is Actually Solving

A private-label listing lives or dies on three things: a pack size that fits the shelf, artwork that arrives printed correctly, and a product safe enough to carry the retailer's name. We produce all three canned groups to a buyer's own brand, from the can label through to the printed outer carton.

Pain Points

  • A can 40 grams away from the local shelf standard will not win the listing
  • A quality incident on an own-brand product is the retailer's problem, not the factory's
  • Range reviews need mushroom, fruit and vegetable lines to land on the same date
  • Artwork changes late in the process and the factory has already printed
  • Small opening volumes do not justify a full container per line

What They Need From a Cannery

  • Retail-size tins and jars alongside a catering range
  • Buyer artwork controlled from label through to carton
  • Certification that satisfies a retailer technical audit
  • One shipment covering several categories of the range
  • Third-party inspection before the goods leave China

Typical Applications

  • A supermarket canned mushroom line in 284G and 400G tins
  • Fruit in juice at 11 to 14 percent brix for a health-positioned own brand
  • A pulse range of chickpeas and kidney beans in 425G tins
  • Marinated mixed mushrooms in 580ML jars for a premium tier
  • A launch container mixing mushroom, fruit and vegetable lines

How an Order Runs

  1. Agree the pack format and packing medium for each line in the range
  2. Confirm recipe and taste against a sample or the specification you send
  3. Receive and check your label and carton artwork
  4. Produce to your specification with your artwork applied
  5. Accept your designated inspection agency before shipment
  6. Load the mixed range into one container against one order

Delivery Capability

  • Retail tin formats from 184G through 850G depending on the product
  • Jar formats from 314ML to 720ML for premium retail tiers
  • Mixed containers so a range launches on one date
  • LCL consolidation for opening volumes below a full container

Retail Private Label Questions

Do you apply our own label and carton artwork?

Yes. Many years of OEM work covers everything from the product through to the outer packaging, produced strictly to your requirements.

Which certifications will satisfy our technical team?

We work to FDA, IFS, SKS, STAR-KOSHER, BRC, HACCP, HALAL and FSPCA requirements and keep annual employee training in food safety.

Can a range launch arrive in one shipment?

Yes. Mushroom, fruit and vegetable lines are produced on one site so a range can be consolidated into a single container.

What is the smallest retail tin you run?

The smallest mushroom tin is 184G packed 24 tins to a carton. Vegetable and bean lines start at 340G and fruit lines at 410G.

Can we start below a full container?

Prices are quoted on a 1 x 20 foot FCL basis, and LCL consolidation is available so an opening listing does not have to carry full-container inventory.
